I just got back from my trip to Jamaica, and I feel reinvigorated! It has been a trying summer of ups and downs, and I definitely needed this trip to refocus in the worst way. The most thinking I did last week was contemplating which food I wanted to eat at the buffet line, and it felt real good. I enjoyed a lot of activities from jet skiing which I always wanted to try, scuba diving in the middle of the ocean with exotic fishes, being 5 feet away from crocodiles, swimming in caves with bats, finishing two very interesting books, and experiencing beautiful sunsets with a very special person to me. I was also able to meet a lot of genuinely nice people who wanted nothing but to converse and be helpful. All in all, this trip was great for the mental and did wonders on my skin complexion…lol
I think about how we are programed and the routine of our daily lives. Sometimes, for me, it feels like the same thing is happening from day to day. We live in a age of email, text messages, facebook, and every other means of communication. Everyday seems like a never ending cycle where we sort of lose ourselves in the process.
I think it is real important to get away from time to time, where we have time to really think about what is really important in our lives. It feels good to turn off the phone, not check any emails, and just enjoy and experience life. So what I am trying to get at, is that we all owe it to ourselves to get away from our daily routines and pamper ourselves. Whether it be for a week, weekend, day, or hour; we owe it to ourselves for alittle ”me time”, away from everything, and to get ourselves right!

I am glad that you had fun! It is very important to step away for the daily grind to get yourself refreshed!
I couldn’t have agreed more Jim! A little or a lot of R & R is never a bad thing as long as you can enjoy it and get away from these “daily routines.” No matter how much money you may or may not have, time is something we can not afford to lose. Live your life and don’t look back, because before you know it, you’ll be looking back at your life and all of your life experiences and memories.
