Finding a new barber is probably one of the hardest things to do. I have been in VA for a year now and I have yet to find him or her. I have trusted two people with my head this past year and do you know how long a bad haircut takes to grow back or cuts to heal? When a barber toots his own horn, go to the next chair because it’s just like the guy on the basketball court talking all the trash in the world but he is probably the worst player on the court and this applies to barbers too. But I fed into the hype and let this barber cut my hair and I’m trying to coach him through the way I want my cut and the whole time sweating bullets knowing that my hairline is in trouble. And this is how you know a barber has messed up or is messing up when he or she is cutting your hair, the barber will go over the same section repeatedly trying to fix a mistake that is not fixable. Think about it, when you cut something wrong, there is nothing you can do except cut the other side wrong. So at this point, I’m thinking damn my hairline can’t afford this and I’m hoping it’s not too bad and already thinking of the recovery time for my hairline. Believe it or not, I gave this barber another chance with the same result. Then I decided that I would have this barber cut my hair really low to the point where I was almost bald. I figured if I get my hair cut low enough then no one would be able to see whether or not if my shape up was messed up but this plan wasn’t full proof because the barber begin to cut me and there is no hiding cuts. I mean, I looked like I was in a knife fight and my ear was just missed. This is why I am so apprehensive to find a barber due to the fact that I may be one bad cut from having to go to the bald look. Lately, I’ve been wearing the low low cut with no shape up, which isn’t a good look but at least I don’t get cut. I would rather travel all the way to Philly, which is roughly a 5 hour road trip, to pay $40 for a haircut that is second to none. I don’t think I’ve ever been seen so much without a fresh cut more than I have during my past year in VA. I cut my waves off and all. My waves use to be spinning but now I have a low cut with no waves! A haircut is a BIG DEAL! This is a fact, a good haircut is a confidence booster, it affects what you are going to wear, your swag, whether or not you going out to a club or lounge or even if you’re going to church. How many times have you declined a date or night out with the fellas because you didn’t have a cut? It’s that serious ladies and gents! A co-worker of mine has given me a card to his barber but I don’t know if I’m ready but something has to give. Stay tuned until next time.

Oh my goodness this is so true ….my barber was great his location, his work*nd he had great conversation but 50 a cut I can’t do it every week I looked at my taxes and saw I was spending well over 2g’s for a hair cutt so I had to go … My search took about 6 bad cuts 4 cuts and knicks ,d about 3 weeks of healing my hairline all I can suggest is keep going to different kats go to the gym the clubs everywhere and ask peeps where they get they get their cut this is so so so serious damn damn damn
Are they cutting you because the trimmers are too sharp?? This is a common misconception that barbers have. They think it’s OK to have their trimmers so sharp they cut and this is NOT good! Believe me, I’m a barber and I cannot get a decent cut either so you are not alone. This is one reason that I became a barber. I know this an old article but if I can be of any help, let me know!
