Yps, these are just a few ‘Dos and Don’ts.’ There are many steps that need to be taken, in order to make the most out of your time and to be successful. Put your all into everything and I am sure you will yield results!!!
Do: Make sure you have a plan. Nothing can be accomplished if there is not a goal in mind. Take your plan even further and write it down. Once on paper, your goals become a ‘real thing’ that you tend to take more seriously. Check your written plan daily. If you have to, make it apart of your routine to check it the same time everyday. Having a written plan that you refer to daily will make you not want to let yourself down. It is a constant reminder of the task at hand and all that is left, is to follow the plan.
Don’t: Do not make procrastination a regular in your life. The biggest obstacle in reaching one’s goals is the wasting of time. Time is something that we all need to take more seriously. Time is the most valuable thing that we all have, in this world. We need to treat it as such. When you find yourself being bored, use that time to be productive. More productivity will turn into more success, which will lead to less time to be bored and more time to do the things you enjoy.
Do: Enlist the help of others, who are like minded. Getting others involved who share a common goal with you, can only yield greater results. Some find that they wear themselves thin, trying to do everything. The most successful and productive people, are so, because they have great teams around them. Having a team to split up responsibilities, helps to maximize time and creative output.
Don’t: Do not let the ‘Nay Sayers’ have a voice in your life. There will always be people who do not believe in what it is you are doing. The key is to not let them slow you down or derail you, by wasting your time listening to them. No one will ever be as productive as they can if they are listening to all of the negativity around them. Surround yourself with people who want you to succeed and will help you to do so.
Do: You have to put 110% into whatever you set out to do. If you go at something ‘half heartedly,’ you will always find excuses to not be successful. You have to want to be great at all times. When you find yourself slacking, you have to want to succeed bad enough that you will ‘kick yourself in the butt’ and keep going. You will always do things wrong, but if you do them giving 110%, something good will always come out of it.
