“I feel I know a little bit of everything but I’ve grown unfamiliar with limitations…”
Wale is one of my favorite young hip-hop artists because of his inspirational and motivational messages in his music. This except is from the intro off his latest mixtape “Eleven One Eleven Theory” that he released as a precursor to his 2nd studio album “Ambition” is released November 1, 2011 (Hence “Eleven One Eleven Theory”). Now to the topic at hand: people always tell you that you can do this but you can’t do that. Or you may have someone tell you that you doing too much at times. But many times people attempt to place the limitations of others on you and as with everything limitations aren’t the same for everybody. This excerpt I derived from Wale really registered with me. I am on the brink of taking on quite a few new challenges and becoming “unfamiliar with limitations” is the only way I am going to meet these challenges and accomplish my goals. YP’s identify your limitations and work on reducing/overcoming your limitations then get rid of them all together. See you guys and girls inSuccessville minus the limitations of course…

On Twitter, I follow all sorts of inspirational people to whom I draw motivation and encouragement from time to time. While perusing through my tweets the other day, I read this quote that I was instantly drawn to and that made my heart smile! In life, we all have different paths that we take. There is always going to be someone who is going to have a better car than you, a bigger house, better clothes, so on and so forth. If we get caught up in trying to measure up to everyone and everything, then our lives will be pretty unfulfilled. In order for us to be “happy” we have to be appreciative of all that we do have, while striving for more. I have definitely learned through the years to be grateful of everyone and everything in my life, because I know at any moment it can be taken away. YPs, we are all blessed in various capacities, so embrace what you have with open arms and share that joy with the ones that surround you; life is too short not to do so!

Good day YP’s! Life is all about living, I mean truly living. Now that definition of “living” varies from person to person. Living to one person may be serving God, to another it may be traveling, learning each and everyday, what have you. Finding out what you love is one thing, but putting it into play is another. With that said, we all have to keep living and experiencing what we want out of life. As YP’s the last thing we want to do is to look back in our lives, and think of everything that we wished we could of accomplished. Let’s all live the life the way we want, seize the moment, and accomplish everything that we set out for ourselves. It starts today, because there is no time like the present. Live life to the fullest, because everyday above ground is a good one!
