The CIAA With Your Host: DJ Skillz

This weekend the 65th Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament will take place in Charlotte, NC.  The CIAA Tournament is the one of the most successful and celebrated college basketball tournaments in the United States featuring 12 historically black colleges and universities from the oldest American Historically Black College Conference.  I have never personally attended the CIAA Tournament but have heard that this is one of the best weekends to party and network annually and in the future hopefully YPBlogSpot’s very own will be able to attend the CIAA Tournament not only to party but to take advantage of great marketing and networking opportunities.  DJ Skillz aka “The Next Great American DJ” will be hosting a number of parties this weekend at the CIAA Tournament and with him being a North Carolina native and one of the best DJs in the land then YPs I suggest you party with the best.  The flyer above is full of the events and parties DJ Skillz will be hosting this weekend so be safe, network and have a ball.  And tell Skillz YPBlogSpot sent you.

How To Make It In America (Trailer)

HBO has always been on point with their TV series and “How to Make it In America” looks like the next great show from the network. This show is kind of being billed as an East coast ”Entourage” where it follows a few twentysomething year olds as they grind to live out their dreams. Check out the trailer clip for the show and be sure to check out the 1st episode this Sunday February 14th on HBO at 10pm. (I think I just found my new favorite show until Entourage returns).

Jackson fans prepare for concert movie farewell

michael-jackson-this-is-it-movie-poster

YPRichB: This Wednesday (October 28, 2009) marks the release of “This Is It” a movie chronicling Michael Jackson’s rehearsal’s for an upcoming concert series before his untimely death. This movie is only supposed to showing in theaters for 2 weeks so if you’re a fan of the King of Pop make sure you get to the movies sooner than later.

Michael Jackson fans will get a tantalizing glimpse of what might have been Tuesday as the movie charting the tragic singer’s final concert rehearsals makes its long-awaited premiere.

More than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage for Jackson’s aborted comeback have been distilled into a two-hour film being hyped by organizers as the last ever performance by the “King of Pop.”

Jackson family members and stars are expected to descend on a red carpet at Los Angeles’s Nokia Theater, one of more than 15 simultaneous premieres being held in across five continents.

The movie — “This Is It” — will go on a limited two-week release in theaters worldwide from Wednesday, with advance tickets in several countries selling out within days of going on sale last month.

House Party 1: Dance Off

It’s Saturday YP’s, hence the weekend is here and I hope you are all enjoying it.  I don’t know if you all remember this movie, but this is one of my favorite movies growing up and this is one the best scenes of the movie.  They look like they were having a ball.  Martin aka Bilal the DJ is too funny with the ”SWITCH!” (LOL).  You don’t see people partying like this anymore, but enjoy and by the way; who won the battle Kid-n-Play or the girls?
