It always amazes me, when I think about how many people in the world are unhappy and/or not attempting to follow their dreams.  There are way too many people and too many resources, to match, for there not to be more individual success in the world.  Individuals go to work day in and day out, and surprisingly enough, get nothing from it but a paycheck.  It is the human mind’s natural function to always be thinking/dreaming/contemplating.  So I refuse to believe that everyone in the world does not have the same thoughts of achieving a better life for themselves.

The problem is that most people let their lives become consumed with excuses(or reasons as some call them) why they cannot achieve better results from life.  For every human being underachieving in the world, there are hundreds of excuses for why they are doing so.  A previous coworker of mine, gave me this one important piece of advice when I began working with him.  He told me that I had to make it happen “INSPITE OF.”  He may not have even known how much those words have stayed with me.  Those words have helped me get through some tough times and even more so, have helped me make the best of some already good situations.  What those words mean is that, no matter what obstacles you may face or how many excuses you can come up with to fail; you must always find a way to succeed.  You must make it happen “INSPITE OF.”

Throughout the history of the world, there have been people who have overcame some of the toughest situations in order to become great or just happy in life, in general.  We as people, tend to get into the habit of feeling sorry for ourselves.  Feeling sorry for oneself, is never the recipe for success.  In fact, that can only hinder your growth.  If you get into the habit of feeling like you are owed something, then you will never work to actually get it.  The world is not going to give us anything.  There are billions of people in the world and very few have actually lucked up into finding success.  If you want something, you have to go out and claim it.  You must make it happen “INSPITE OF.”

Do not get me wrong!  We all face hard times and trying situations.  However, the world does not stop when we are going through those times.  Growing up in a one parent household, is not an excuse to fail.  Losing your job, is not an excuse to fail.  Losing a loved one, is not an excuse to fail.  Not liking your job, is not an excuse to fail.  Not getting along with your boss, is not an excuse to fail.  Being homeless, is not an excuse to fail.  Fighting addiction, is not an excuse to fail.  Fighting your hardships alone, is not an excuse to fail.  Having an unplanned pregnancy, is not a reason to fail.  We all have to make it happen “INSPITE OF.”

The bottom line  is that, we are all responsible for what we want out of life.  If you are not happy, than you need to find out what makes you happy, and do that.  If you are not achieving success, than it is your responsibility to go out and create success for yourself.  The world will go on and we must find a way to keep ourselves going, “INSPITE OF.”  YPs I am challenging all of you, to go out and MAKE IT HAPPEN “INSPITE OF!!!!!”  YPs Stand Up!!!!!

I say all the time that the only difference between that man not being a success and the man that is a success is that the succesful man did what he said he was going to do rather then find a reason not to get it done gotta get it done or make it happen in “SPITE OF”is how we all should think…good blog

Very interesting. Many of us should adapt this simple quote and use it to motivate ourselves and others young and old. Too many of us use excuses constantly not to succeed in our dreams. Obstacles are a part of life. Jump or go around them, but get past them.

The reality of the matter is that most people are followers, waiting for someone to lead them to the “promised land.” Never realizing that all they have to do is get up and take the first step.
