Bursts like an aneurism as beautiful scarlet billows spread,
Body covered from chest down
Tip-toeing through whirlwinds, wearing this fragile gown
Fingertips stitched, where there used to be sensation
Wrote until they bled from all his inspiration
Trying to get mind lined up with what’s in chest,
Before taking a leap of lust, landing in his bed of rest
The struggle so beautifully masked behind brown eyes
Uncertainty is the side dish, served up with lovely lies
Lies made to self
Caution, on the shelf

His touch & affection, the golden token
