YPAPierce: “2nd Quarter”

YPAPierce is no stranger to YPBlogSpot! She has blessed us with a post or two in the past, and we always enjoy her input. Today she is helping to showcase a couple of other YPs, who are out there doing big things. I won’t spoil what she has to say or prolong any longer. Read her intro and view Greatness in the Making!!! 2nd Quarter is a growing web series that follows the lives of young urban professionals trying to adjust to big city life. These characters who are digging out of the quarter life crises and moving on to the second phase are facing some tough issues. From sex and relationships to why men cheat, they’re trying to find their purpose all while one character deals with a life threatening disease. Even though the topics are real and relatable the show still provides viewers with laughs on laughs on laughs.

The co-creators of 2nd Quarter are two young professionals themselves. Eric J. Dickens of Philadelphia and Kaia C. Benjamin from the Bronx were facing their own quarter life crisis, trying to figure out how to move through to the 2nd Quarter of life. Hence the series was born. Initially the series was shot as a pilot for a TV show but it took on a life of its own when Eric and Kaia cut and edited the pilot into mini episodes and uploaded them onto the web. Now a cult like following paitiently waits as new episodes are revealed every few weeks on the 2nd Quarter website and on YouTube.

Eric and Kaia have embraced the popularity of web shows and are committed to giving fans what they want. New episodes are in production right now and they are getting steamier. One thing is for certain they’re sure to leave fans craving more.

Everyone involved in this project from the production staff to the actors truly believe in its success. They’re proud to be members of a team that started from the ground up and is skyrocketing at lightening speed.
