February 2012

Miguel was one of the more pleasant surprises in R&B music last year. He seemingly came out of nowhere but his album “All I Want Is You” was definitely one of the best albums to drop last year. He returns this year with a 3 part EP entitled “Art Dealer Chic”. Here is volume 1 of the 3 part series. Check out “Adorn” below. Don’t miss this EP. Enjoy.

YPs, I know we are all on the same journey to Successville.  Sometimes however, we let weakness inside of ourselves and slow our progress down.  The weaknesses I’m talking about are EXCUSES.  We have all made them and unfortunately, are not done making them.  We need to identify our excuses and rid ourselves of them.  Excuses are the reasons that more people aren’t being classified as great.  An excuse will alter a timeline.  It will prevent a goal being reached.  It will cause a lack of motivation.  Yps we need to treat excuses like the plague and quarantine or get rid of them.  I put together a list of excuses that I have either used or heard, and I am working to get rid of them.  Read through the list and see if you are guilty and if you are, work to get rid of them with me.  If you don’t see one that you are guilty of but you have one that you know fits you, PLEASE ADD IT IN THE COMMENT SECTION!  Excuses are holding us back from being successful at work, at love, and at life, in general.  Meet me at Successville, NO EXCUSES!!!

…I didn’t think my work was good enough

…I didn’t want to be disappointed

…I forgot that I was supposed to do it

…I didn’t feel like doing anything, once I got off of work

…My favorite show was on

…I fell asleep

…You didn’t finish your part, so I figured I had more time

…Nobody expected me to do it anyway

…I lost my focus

…Someone already thought of a similar idea

…People like us never get a break

…Somebody else will do it

…It’s too much work

…I failed at other ventures in the past, will probably fail again

…Nobody wants to support me on my idea

…My girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband won’t let me focus

…I don’t have the heart to ‘jump out the window’

…I’ll do it if you do it with me

…I have to wait until I’m in a better place mentally/financially/etc.

…I just didn’t want to

Usher–Climax (Remix) feat. Joe Budden

In the words of @YPDSing, don’t call it a comeback Usher’s been here for years. Out of nowhere Usher drops Climax produced by Diplo. Not sure where this song will end up but it is nice to see Usher get back to making great music. As an added bonus my favorite rapper, Joe Budden, threw a verse on there for the hell of it. Enjoy.

YPs, it’s time for us to get grown for a minute.  I’m coming to you today with one of the many aspects of a relationship, SEX.  More importantly, being in tune to your mate and how he/she wants it.  Sex can be a great positive force in a relationship.  It can also be a great hindrance.  Even when a relationship is not hitting on all cylinders, sex can be that common ground where two connect.  Personally, I feel that great connection comes with a respect, love and admiration for your partner.  Let’s be honest, most of us have had sex with someone that we were in love with and also with someone that we were not.  The difference is almost ASTONISHING!!!

Having sex with someone that you love, comes with so many benefits.  Humans by nature have selfish qualities.  I think that when you have sex with someone you love, that selfishness goes out the window.  When sexually involved with someone, you have to be open to how they like things.  Everyone’s sex drive is not the same.  Everyone’s favorite position is not the same.  Everyone’s willingness to explore new things is not the same.  You have to take the time to find these things out.  You can only benefit, from being educated and informed of your partners needs.  [click to continue…]
