I am sure that I’m not the only person that experiences mood swings.  I don’t consider myself to be a moody person but the fact is that every one’s mood is impacted by different events, experiences and/or people. It’s funny because the simplest things can alter one’s mood sometimes which can have a negative or positive effect on one’s productivity.  Some of you are really sensitive to everything and allow your productivity to affected by any and everything that you encounter on any given day.  Some of you have pet peeves that really push your buttons the wrong way and you tend to allow those specific things that annoy you affect your productivity.  Nonetheless, we all have mood swings for one reason or another but some have it worse than others.  The problem is when we allow our mood swings to adversely affect our productivity.

YPs we allow too many minor issues to affect our productivity and progress.  If your mood is affecting your ability or desire to be productive than in a sense you have allowed your mood to be an excuse not to be successful whether it’s [click to continue…]

It’s the middle of March which means one thing to sports fans: March Madness is upon us. For those who don’t know what this means, it’s a 64 team, single elimination tournament for the championship in men and women’s college basketball respectively. Bottom line, this is probably one of the most exciting times in sports all year. The majority of the games are extremely intense and usually played down to the wire. I never heard of Aloe Blacc before watching my new favorite show “How to Make It in America”. His song “I Need A Dollar” is the intro to the show and everytime the show comes on I wonder what song is playing in the background and I finally found out. Aloe Blacc is a soul singer/rapper and after checking out some more of his music I was impressed. Take a listen to “I Need A Dollar” below.

On a couple of the blog sites that I visit I kept seeing plugs for this new mixtape by Laws.  I had never heard of this cat before and I ignored the plugs until I saw one of Laws’ songs was produced by 9th Wonder, who is one of my favorite producers.  I checked it out and I have to say this song has been on CONSTANT repeat since I listened to it.  Laws definitely held his own and 9th absolutely killed this beat.  I’m a big fan of music production and this beat is just so hypnotic.  This song just has a “feel good” vibe to it.  Take a listen to “Shining” by Laws produced by 9th Wonder.
