Every year the rap magazine XXL does a magazine feature on the “Freshman” or new rappers to be on the lookout for. Being a huge music lover I’m always excited to find new talent that has a chance to do some damage in the music industry. XXL is usually hit or miss with their selections, some have become favorites of mine while others have came and went. This year’s list includes some promising rappers, some of which we’ve featured on our site. The 10 Freshman for 2010 are as follows:
Big Sean, J. Cole, Fashawn, Donnis, Nipsey Hu$$le, Pill, Freddie Gibbs, OJ Da Juiceman, Jay Rock, and Wiz Khalifa.
YPBlogspot are huge fans of J. Cole and Big Sean so my money is definitely on them to be the successes off this list. I’ve also just got into ATL rapper Pill who reminds me of T.I. so I’m keeping a close eye on him too. Check out the mixtape featuring brand new songs and freestyles by the Freshman class of 2010.
