When I first heard of The-Dream I had no idea that I would like his music as much as I do. His first album “Love/Hate” pleasantly surprised me and is a modern day R&B classic as far as I’m concerned. I really will put that album up against any R&B album that has dropped in the past 5 years. From the production to the song-writing “Love/Hate” was a great album. In 2009 The-Dream followed that album up with “Love vs. Money” and its just as great if not better.
For those not familiar with The-Dream, he and his production partners Tricky Stewart and LOS Da Maestro are probably responsible for your favorite songs of the past few years. From Rihanna’s “Umbrella”, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, and “Just Fine” by Mary J Blige, The-Dream and company have run radio.
Now The-Dream is back with his first single off his upcoming album “Love King” dropping this spring. Check it out below and let us know what you think.
