“All I got is dreams nobody else can see, nobody else believes, nobody else but me.”

         This is a line from Jay-Z’s single entitled “History” that he released during Barack Obama’s historic Presidential campaign in 2008.  I’m sure you’ve heard this song but I want to focus on the quote above referring to DREAMS.  We all have dreams that we all would love to bring into fruition but for one reason or another they never materialize into nothing more than a dream.  As Jay-Z put it, nobody can see our dreams which makes it hard for people to believe them.  Simply put, we determine whether or not we are going to live our dreams by seeing and believing in them even when others doubt or attempt to discourage us from achieving the goals of our dreams.  Think about when someone tells you their dreams and be honest whether you say it or not, there is more than likely some skepticism that creeps into your mind which is natural because you can’t see their dreams.  Our dreams have no shot of becoming reality if  WE don’t believe in them so disregard the people that cannot see your dreams or believe in them, they have no bearing on your dreams, YOU do!  As YPDSing so eloquently put it, “Be Successful: In Spite Of”.  Live your DREAMS YPs!

One of my favorite sites to get valuable information regarding my money is cnnmoney.com. I was looking through the site one day, and came across this quiz that grades how well you are doing with your personal finances. I took the test and received a pretty high score, but it also showed some areas that I can improve upon. These areas crossed my mind before, but this quiz was very helpful, because at the end, it actually highlighted the areas that I needed to work on.

If you have goals with your money, or just want to see how you are doing, I highly recommend this quiz. I would also recommend that you be as honest as possible, because the more honest you are, the more accurate the results. Take the test, and happy savings!
