YPs, relationships are complex things that have to be worked at.  A good relationship doesn’t just happen, a lot of things need to be taken into consideration and accounted for.  Communication is a very important factor in relationships.  How well you and your partner will directly affect your happiness and longevity.  Honesty, is another trait that helps keep relationships healthy.  Honesty is important even when talking about negative things that occur.  Showing your partner the right amount of affection and attention, also play an important role.  There are a lot of factors that healthy relationships are built on, and my peoples(YPRuck) and I like to refer to these things as “Laying That Strong Foundation.”

Fellas, set that foundation.  If you take no other advice that I have given, take this tip.  Relationships are not unlike any other thing that you want to be great at.  The work has to be put in.  You have to be solid in your fundamentals in order to prosper.  Relationships operate the same way.  When you first meet a female, you begin laying the groundwork.  This can go in a positive way or a negative way, you have complete control of what happens.  Foundations can be laid poorly or cheaply, and when this happens, the relationship will see the effects.  Likewise, you can lay each brick as well as you can and watch your relationship stand the test of time.  Bad weather will come, but a foundation can be made to withstand anything.

Good afternoon to all my YP’s! Day four of Black History Month, and I must say the more I research the more intrigued I become with all the acheivements made by our ancestors. Here is another Great African-American I bet you didn’t know about.

Mr.James Weldon Johnson: As a precursor, participant, and historian of the Harlem Renaissance, James Weldon Johnson had as much to do with the rise of that cultural movement as any one person.  Indeed, he was the epitome of the classic Renaissance man himself–poet, composer, author, government official, teacher, and influential civil rights activist. YPRichB: YPSueJ is now a regular on our site and has blessed us with another great fashion blog. I’m personally not as bold with my fashion choices but I gotta admit these boots are kinda fresh. With the right outfit I definitely feel like these boots would be the cherry on top. Enjoy today’s post and let us know what you think. YPs Stand Up!!!

This new shoe fashion for men is a bit interesting for me. Sometimes when I see men with boots on like this I don’t know whether to think they’re metro sexual, highly into fashion, or what? I feel like these type of boots are what Ugg’s are to women. On another note, I personally like them, but I don’t think someone with a size 15 foot should wear them… Its only going to look like Bo Bo in a military boot.

Be Bold: Create YOUR Own Path…

February 4, 2010

I was flipping through the channels one night, and stopped on BET, and caught Monica’s conversation with songwriter/producer Dallas Austin. Monica was basically in a cross roads of her career, and was asking Dallas for advice. Dallas told Monica that she can’t go off of what the public want to hear from her, because [...]

Good Poem by Langston Hughes

February 4, 2010

Life Is Fine by Langston Hughes I went down to the river, I set down on the bank. I tried to think but couldn’t, So I jumped in and sank.I came up once and hollered! I came up twice and cried! If that water hadn’t a-been so cold I might’ve sunk and died. But it [...]
