Joe Budden is easily one of my favorite rappers and I was excited to see him hit the internet with a bunch of brand new songs last week. Apparently these songs are just a warm up for his upcoming album “The Great Escape” due out this Spring/Summer. If you’re not familar with his work, get familiar. In the meantime take a listen to these songs and be on the look out for his upcoming work.

With all of the tragic events, and MLK Day being yesterday, it is as important as ever, to do what we can to make this world better. Even though I knew the importance of giving back before, while I was watching CNN news coverage of Haiti last night, it just hit me that life is so much more than oneself. Of course it is important to take care of yourself first, but it doesn’t just stop there. It is also about spreading joy, and helping others. Even though we might not have a big platform as celebrities and such, we can start with the ones around us. Being a good son, daughter, sister, father, brother, mother, friend, uncle, making others laugh, smile, saying “I love you”, “thank you”, can make all of the difference in the world. Tomorrow is not promised; I have realized this statement more than ever. So however small it might be, let’s take steps to make it better for those that immediately surround us, and then go from there.
