KiD CuDi ft. Chip the Ripper “Hyyerr”
I remember first hearing about KiD CuDi a few years ago as being one of the next rappers to be on the lookout for. Initially I wasn’t really that impressed with his music and the first time I listened to his album I instantly deleted it off my computer. I kept reading rave reviews of his music so I gave it another shot and I have to admit I was wrong. He definitely is talented and has a knack for song making. While he won’t make everyone a fan I definitely understand why people like his music. “Hyyerr” featuring Chip the Ripper is one of my favorite songs on his album “Man on the Moon: The End of Day”. It has a real mellow vibe and its real carefree. Take a listen and enjoy your upcoming weekend.

“One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation.”
Have you ever noticed that most successful people exude a certain level of confidence which can sometimes be seen as arrogance to those that have no sense of a great work ethic and preparation? I use to share this sentiment towards my now favorite basketball player Kobe Bryant, until I heard and read about his work ethic and preparation which allowed me to understand where his confidence was derived from which I had previously mistaken for arrogance. YPs Kobe Bryant exudes confidence because of his second to none preparation in perfecting his craft. Think about it for a second, when you study/prepare for a test you are a lot more confident (not arrogant) about taking and passing that test and not surprised when you pass the test. YPs, preparation is the key element that provides/creates the confidence in people to become successful people.
Be Prepared. Be Confident. Be Successful.

Snoop Dogg ft. Jazmine Sullivan “Different Languages”
I have never been a big Snoop Dogg fan, but it is hard to ignore his 10th album to date, Malice n Wonderland. It has some very good songs that I enjoy which include, “Gansta Luv” ft. The Dream, “Pimpin Aint EZ” ft. R. Kelly, and “Special” ft. Brandy and Pharrell. But my favorite track on the album is “Different Languages” ft. Jazmine Sullivan.
When I first heard the song “Different Languages”, it instantly became one of my favorite songs at the moment. It has a great vibe to it, that puts you in a real pleasant place. If u get a chance check out the album, but definitely give this song a listen. Enjoy!

YPRichB: As I’ve shared in the past, I definitely think Drake has a bright future and I look forward to his upcoming debut album “Thank Me Later” dropping this spring. Check out Drake’s interview that he did with ”Complex Magazine” where he talks about a variety of topics including his upcoming album, other up and coming artist (Wale, Kid Cudi, J.Cole), and his relationship with Lil Wayne.

New Money stands out. Take the Twelve Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Everything is modern, angular, all rich wood grains and polished metals. The chairs in the lobby are likely as expensive as they are uncomfortable. It feels like a playground for people comfortable with privilege. So it comes as no surprise that Aubrey “Drake” Graham and his crew are staying here while in ATL, and it’s hard to blame him for feeling entitled: After all, he did help usher in an entirely new sensibility in hip-hop. It’s not the singing that makes him special—MCs have been crooning for years. What puts Drake in a different space than rappers past and present has less to do with his music than how he found himself in a position to make it. He doesn’t represent traditional hip-hop in any form or fashion. There were no obstacles to his success; far from a statistic, he caked off as a child star on a soft-ass show (Degrassi: The Next Generation). He’s Canadian, which as we all know did wonders for the careers of Maestro Fresh Wes and Kardinal Offishall. And he’s Jewish! Scope those stats on paper and rap celebrity seemed destined to elude Drake. Yet, the Toronto kid made it work. But how?

Flauce:Got You Open “Take It Personal”(Mixtape)

Flauce is set to drop his anticipated mixtape Take It Personal this spring to heat up the summer just right and here is another track that will be on the mixtape “Got You Open”. A soulful, smooth track that Flauce displays good word play that begins with a smooth delivery then he transitions into a fast delivery then back to a smooth delivery displaying his versatility as a MC. I’m impressed and can’t wait for the mixtape Take It Personal to drop this spring but until then I will have this on the iPod and in the wheel. Enjoy this track called “Got You Open” by Flauce YPs.

YPs I had the opportunity and honor to do a phone interview with North and South Carolina’s own, Skillz the DJ aka The Next Great American DJ aka The Mash Out Kid for YPBlogSpot’s first ever interview. DJ Skillz’s resume is an indication that he makes it happen YPs. I learned quite a bit about Skillz during our conversation and one of the things I learned was that he’s accomplished so much already in his career but he still has an appetite to be better and be great. DJ Skillz is a college dropout but that didn’t deter him from being and becoming a DJ standout. A man on a mission to be the best DJ in the game with a resume that most DJs his age would be content with for their career, DJ Skillz has just scratched the surface.
DJ Skillz has a resume that consists of 9 tours and counting with the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent to name a few. In addition, Skillz has hosted over 30 major events from President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Weekend to Read more »

In these tough times, it is very important to get the most out of everything you can. I am speaking in terms of your job, the interest rate for your savings, budget, and even your tax returns. My sister and I were having a conversation, and she was telling me about all of the various tax breaks that I could be eligible for? If you donate clothes, give money to charity, buy supplies for your students, relocate, have medical expenses, you could increase the amount of money you get back. This is very important because the government takes so much money out of our paychecks, and tax us everything they can get their hands on. So when doing your tax returns this year, make sure to do your research, don’t be lazy, so you could get the most out of your money. This article might not explain everything, but it is a starting point for your research. Here are new tax breaks for 2009.
There’s no denying that 2009 was a challenging year for millions of Americans. But filling out your 2009 tax return could bring some welcome relief in the form of a big refund. There are a slew of new and expanded tax breaks for home buyers and car buyers, college students and their parents, homeowners who installed energy-efficient improvements, and the unemployed. Together, these tax savings are expected to boost average tax refunds above last year’s level of about $2,800, says IRS spokeswoman Nancy Mathis. The sooner you file, the sooner you’ll get your money back. Read more »

Christian Louboutin Freddy Flat Brogue with Studs
(Priced b/w $1000-$1200)
I would have to say only one thing about these Brogues… “DAMN”! If they only made these for women and CHEAPER! I could see myself right now walking down the hallways of my school and the streets of Philly with these on. Can we agree to disagree that these are nothing but attention getters? Ugh! Where is my Sugar daddy when I need one? Lawd knows I can’t even afford something to eat right now.
To any man that decides to get a pair of these, please, PUH-LEASE wear them right. If I see anyone with an original Adidas outfit on with a pair of these Louboutins I’m going to be truly disappointed. I would hope that anyone would buy anything because they liked it for themselves and not because its by an exclusive designer or someone else has it.

“Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.”
- Elbert Hubbard
Happy Friday YP’s!! It’s the beginning of the weekend, and there is alot to be grateful for. I like this quote about life, and not taking it too seriously. Of course there are moments where life can be tough, but at the same breath, take the neccessary time to appreciate the goodness in it. Laugh more, spend time with family and friends, do what you have to do, so you can do what you enjoy. So crack a joke, loosen up, unbutton your shirt, and take a load off when the time is right. Work hard, play hard YP’s!!
Greetings YPs. I heard about the concept of paying it forward while listening to Michael Baisden’s show a while ago as I do during my commute home from work. Michael Baisden is one of my favorite radio personalities whom I admire and consider a role model for being a philanthropist, and an open minded individual. But let me stay focused on this concept of paying it forward which is basically doing something nice for someone you know or a complete stranger and not expecting anything in return but for them to pay it forward by doing something nice for someone else, hence the term/concept pay it forward.
This week I paid it forward to a complete stranger in gym which I tweeted about a couple of days ago. I consider Read more »
The Office is easily one of my favorite shows out today. I just started watching it this year and have checked out all the episodes online. If you’ve ever worked in an office setting I highly recommend watching this show because it’s a great exaggeration on working in an actual office. The characters and situations are crazy and extremely funny. Check out this medley of the phrase “That’s what she said” used primarily by Steve Carrell (star from the movie “40 year old virgin”) as innuendo. Enjoy.
YPs we all probably struggle or have struggled with hope vs reality in different aspects of our lives at one time or another. Most of us hope for the best end result regardless of what we are doing but reality can be a desired end result or an undesired end result but reality is tangible. YPBlogSpot would like to introduce a guest blogger YPBlakeS as he shares his battle/fight with hope vs reality. Enjoy YPs and keep hope alive!
When hope met reality, it was like a heavyweight title fight. It seamed as though it was a battle of David and Goliath, Ali versus Foreman, and everyone from across the world was tuned in to partake in this epic battle. The only thing was… That this was my world and reality was heavily favored to demolish this hope of mine. Now I was always one to root for the underdog, but I was hesitant to place my bet on hope because reality was SO STRONG! And it had a proven record of being the victor in this situation… So let’s read this confession like an introduction to a Pay per view, Read more »

Great ambition is the passion of a great character. Those endowed with it may perform very good or very bad acts. All depends on the principals which direct them
Napoleon Bonaparte
Ambition is a very good trait to have. To be successful, one must have that drive inside of them to want to do better. You must strive for success and go at it with everything that you have. However, ambition is a just as dangerous as it is good. Some of the most destructive people have been that of an ambitious minds. You must determine what you will use your ambition for. I hope the majority of people decide to use their ambition to better themselves and the people around them. YPs, strive for the best but do not become a slave to your ambition. Know what you want to achieve in life and go after it. Do not let your ambitions drive you to do the wrong things.
